I am a multidisciplinary artist who was born and raised in Uruguay. My artistic output is characterized by my use of media that best depict what I describe as the “reality beyond the visible reality,” a world of imperceptible connections that manifests in the core of our body, in the essence of nature, and, ultimately, in our lives. In attempting to convey this world, I work with and combine installations, animations, sound, video, and sculptures. Based on these media choices, my art practice explores human experiences such as the body’s reactions to emotional and physical stimuli and the relationship between humans and their environment. By making art, I try to expand the boundaries of cultures and the limits of perception through a careful process of research and experimentation. Nowadays, I am particularly interested in how technology reshapes the way in which people relate to, perceive, and identify with one another and with their socioeconomic, political and cultural context.
